The visible surface is important, but the right concrete finish begins with the intended use, preparation, drainage, surrounding materials and the ongoing care expected from the finished area.
Exposed Aggregate
Texture, stone and a more dimensional surface.
Exposed aggregate reveals a selected stone blend at the concrete surface. It can work especially well for driveways, entries and outdoor areas where material texture is part of the architectural palette. Aggregate blend, colour, exposure and sealing approach should be planned together.
Coloured Concrete
A more controlled colour direction.
Coloured concrete can bring a quieter, more uniform colour direction to paths, driveways and outdoor areas. The final surface still depends on finishing texture, curing, jointing, light conditions and the relationship to adjoining materials.
Plain Concrete
A restrained surface with clear form and function.
Plain concrete offers a straightforward surface that can suit driveways, paths and broader functional areas. Texture, edge treatment, joints and the concrete beneath the surface still need to be resolved carefully for the site.
